Reporting to the General Manager with a strong dotted line to the Regional Controller, the chosen candidate will be an active member of the local management team and will be responsible for the preparation and interpretation of the financial statements and the annual budget of the unit.
The selected candidate will manage invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, forecasting, credit, and payroll. The candidate will also ensure that internal controls and SOX compliance are in place and well respected and maintained. He/She must also be capable of maintaining developing and improving information and accounting systems.
Qualifications
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA designation or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Controller, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong work ethic required and knowledge of internal and external controls.
• Leadership and problem solving/analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and very detail-oriented.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal.)
• Strong Computer Skills in an Microsoft software (Excel, Word, etc.) and knowledge of ERP system is an asset.
• Knowledge of AS 400 and Khalix will be an asset.
• As a member of the management team, you will be demonstrative of the company's values and philosophy.

INSURANCE – WORKERS COMPENSATION CLAIMS SPECIALIST
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
We seek a highly motivated, efficient individual to join our growing Claims Services Department to process and monitor Workers Compensation Claims.
Other Essential Duties & Responsibilities include:
Receive initial notification of clients claim, review account instructions and begin process of claim.
Manage the progress of the claim from first report to settlement.
Upon receipt of claim/loss, responsible for completing claim file, which includes coverage verification, and making preliminary or tentative determinations of coverage.
Record claim information into agency management system.
Coordinate processing of claim with client, risk manager or designee.
Control service of claims. Maintain status and follow up as needed.
Maintain loss histories, and provide loss runs via computer interfacing with carrier.
Every 90 days, initiates a status or a follow up on all open claims.
Attend claims reviews at either client or carriers location. Occasional travel.
Handle or refer insured’s question and complaints and acts as a mediator with the company, if necessary.
Perform related job duties as required.
Receives and reviews mail.
Pull files and match mail to files when necessary
Miscellaneous clerical duties may be required, such as faxing, mailing, copying, or typing first reports, etc.

We are seeking a Senior Accounting Manager– Grants who will manage all financial and administrative aspects of programmatic restricted grants, including donor billing, proper allocation of funds, revenue and expense recognition in accordance with GAAP. In partnership with the Assistant Controller and Program Compliance, this role will play a lead role in monitoring, evaluating, reporting of our programmatic initiatives as well as partnering with IT in implementing and improving a centralized system of donor information.
The Senior Accounting Manager – Grants reports directly to the Assistant Controller and will be based in Midtown.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all administrative aspects of programmatic restricted grants, including donor billing, proper allocation of funds, revenue and expense recognition in accordance with GAAP in the United States of America
Partner with the Assistant Controller to support the regular monitoring, evaluation and reporting of our programmatic initiatives.
Collaborate with programmatic and development staff on the management and reporting of all government grants, including sub-contract agreements. In addition, provide leadership support and key insight during regular contract reviews.
Serve as primary fiscal agent in cross-functional process of developing programmatic deliverables in conjunction with budget proposals and fundraising needs.
Deliver monthly programmatic reports, variance analysis, and reconciliation to the general ledger.
Partner with program compliance and information and technology personnel to develop and implement a plan to centralize donor information, including financial and non-financial data, contracts, calendars, and reports.
Develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with types of requirements described in U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-133 Compliance Supplement. Maintain excellent understanding of U.S. Government Cost Accounting Standards.
Conduct internal audits of controls related to programmatic initiatives. Develop corrective action plans, achieve internal consensus on required steps, and monitor implementation.

Supports multiple HMCs, SMs, and BMs within a defined span of control.
Responsible for performing a variety of loan documentation duties on moderately complex loans, using comprehensive knowledge of policies and procedures for loan products. Functions include: processing; closing and compliance for loan products; interpreting policies while analyzing applicant, property and documentation; ordering all required verifications, documentation and subsequent follow ups. Under moderate supervision from the Loan Administration Manager, provide loan processing support to the Home Mortgage Consultants (HMC), Sales Managers (SM) and/or Branch Managers by ensuring and validating the operational integrity of loan materials being submitted for processing. Makes sound business decisions based on credit risk policy and procedures. Performs high volume, time sensitive tasks related to the loan documentation process (processing, closing, funding, etc.) which includes researching and problem solving to ensure loan packages and flow of information comply with the identified measurable franchise standards in the areas of customer satisfaction and timeliness of delivery through close of the loan.
RECEIVING, PREFUND INVESTIGATION, PROCESSING OR CLOSING:
Solid proficiency for processing government, conforming and/or non-conforming loans. Proficient in collateral review, communication/ interaction is typically non-scripted, may develop and maintain relationships with external contacts (AE, Broker, Closing Agent), and may have condition sign off authority.
FUNDING: Resolves escalated issues, retracts funds.
OPERATIONAL ACTIVITIES:Upon receipt of information supporting the mortgage loan, may create and review the original loan file to ensure quality specifications and appropriate checklists are completed. Ensure all events and processing transactions occur for the timely closing of the loan are coordinated to ensure the timeliest funding of the loan within the guidelines established by WFHM. 15%
Acts as a liaison between HMC and various internal and external vendors to include, but not limited to customers, Fulfillment Center management (closers, Account Reps, underwriter, etc, settlement agents, builders, realtors credit report vendors, appraisal vendors) to ensure each piece of the loan processing transaction is completed appropriately and in a timely manner. 5%
Main contact point for customer during the loan process. Ability to analyze complex loan transactions. 15%
Performs all processing, use of the automated decisioning tool, and performs pre-closing tasks as required to manufacture a loan in compliance with company standards and best practices from point of application to submission to underwriting for final decisioning. Prepare the LIS System by completing all preclosing activities for submission to the Fulfillment Center for final loan document preparation and funding. 10%
Gather and request from customer or HMC all necessary and pertinent requirements to add to the file and complete the compliance checklist. Orders required credit reports, appraisals, W-2's 1099s, verifications of employment and other documentation necessary to complete loan files. 10% Analyze income, asset and credit documentation to determine monthly income, schedule of debts and available funds. Conduct quality assurance of initial documents to ensure loan application integrity by validating and correcting data in the LIS operating system to match hard paper documentation within the loan file. Review file and determine if the decision engine needs to be rerun based on changes/updated customer documentation. Based on changes within the loan application and conditions, rerun the decision engine based on changes made to the system. Communicates with HMA/HMC as appropriate.
