Responsibilities also include working with various centralized groups on a variety of issues such as lease agreements, FCC licensing, and the impact of aircraft noise on the surrounding community. Incumbents must work fluidly with all entities involved and concerned with flight operations. This position must exercise independent judgment in reacting to unanticipated situations within policies set by Sikorsky, Schweizer, the Sikorsky Director of Flight Operations and the MDCC-Chief Engineer. NYC commercial real estate group seeks experienced Director of Engineering. The Director of Engineering is responsible for all physical plant operations, maintenance and repair, and supervision of all engineering and mechanical staff. This is a management position, and the incumbent will interact with our clients, our executive management team, outside vendors and contractors. We are looking for someone with prior hands-on engineering experience, along recent management experience.
Areas of responsibility include exterior and interior building maintenance as relates to mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, infrastructure including HVAC, fire and life safety systems, vertical transportation, energy management, preventive maintenance and other building systems and equipment. You will interface with and oversee architects, engineers, contractors and their staff for all construction projects.
